We woke up this morning and ate breakfast. Victoria cooked bacon and eggs for us, talk about being spoiled! Oh and we hung out with sweet Lila, their dog. Then we headed out to the state park to hike to a beautiful waterfall. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We love how green NC is!
We hung out for a while and Dylan gave me some lessons on skipping rocks. It went well, but lets not mention the two times I missed the creek all together haha! Then we headed back to town and grabbed Moe’s BBQ for lunch. The smoked chicken was phenomenal! Once we got home, we grabbed the fishing gear and Dylan and Victoria took us to a pond near by to teach us some of his pro fishing tips! Lets also not mention, missing the entire pond when I casted my fishing line haha. Anyways, what a great time we had with them and hopefully it won’t be another 2 years before we see them again.
After we fished, we had a quick 3 hour drive down to August, GA. We again got to meet another friend who we worked with deployed in the Middle East. We got to meet his family and enjoy dinner. What a trip it has been so far and we still have 2 more months!
